The office will be close on Monday, September 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The center will be open for our members to enjoy.
UPDATE 8/27: Har-Bro Restoration is working on getting the pool and spa back up and running for the Center members as quickly as possible. The health department must first allow work to begin in the pool equipment room which was badly damaged and poses some serious health risks to workers in the area if the work is done before abatement is completed. Once the health department approves a partial abatement (for just the pool equipment room) work will begin and the equipment will be tested to ensure it is still operational. If the health department allows a partial abatement the pool is expected to up and running within four weeks. If the health department does not allow the partial abatement it will remain inoperable until the construction of the new locker rooms is completed.
The Center’s insurance company is still working on their investigation of the cause of the fire. It has come to our attention that some members may be under the impression that there may not be coverage from the insurance policy for the repairs. The insurance carrier has made no claim or indication that this will not be covered. All of the work that has been done and will be done is approved by the insurance adjustor prior to any work being done. If you have any questions about the fire, please contact the office for clarification.
RB Swim and Tennis, Seven Oaks and the Westwood Club have been kind enough to allow the Center’s members to use their facilities while we are working on getting our pool operational. Please be kind and respectful with the staff. They have offered the use of their pools ONLY and no other facilities are available to our members. Because of the high usage by our members RB Swim and Tennis may start charging a daily use fee of $2.

The Center was designed and built to enhance the quality of life of Oaks North residents by actively promoting participation in all aspects of community, including social, recreational, health and educational needs with emphasis on enriching the lives of those age 55 and better. Inherent in this pursuit we provide opportunities that facilitate positive, life-changing experiences through art, athletics, personal development and community service. It is our goal to be a focal point for services, information and activities that increase inclusion in the community (e.g. Neighborhood Watch). We provide meeting rooms and activity space for organized groups and member private parties. In doing all this, we enhance the value of each property in Oaks North.
