Thank you to those of you that attended the Board Meeting last night. For those of you that were not able to make it here's a brief overview of the update from Har-Bro Construction:
-Once the investigation is completed and the insurance investigators have give clearance to start abatement the abatement crews will begin immediately. They have already been contracted and are just waiting on the word to start.
-Abatement will take approximately 2-2 1/2 weeks to complete.
-Once the abatement is complete the pool equipment will taken care of. This process will take approximately 3 weeks.
-New equipment will have to be purchased and both the health department and building department will be involved with the final approval to start operations.
-Initially the only heat source to the pool, if any, will be the solar panels. The heater is powered by gas and the center is not permitted to restore gas service at this time.
Based on the timeline give at the meeting last night the fastest possible timeline for having the pool operational is 5-6 weeks after the investigation is completed.

The Center was designed and built to enhance the quality of life of Oaks North residents by actively promoting participation in all aspects of community, including social, recreational, health and educational needs with emphasis on enriching the lives of those age 55 and better. Inherent in this pursuit we provide opportunities that facilitate positive, life-changing experiences through art, athletics, personal development and community service. It is our goal to be a focal point for services, information and activities that increase inclusion in the community (e.g. Neighborhood Watch). We provide meeting rooms and activity space for organized groups and member private parties. In doing all this, we enhance the value of each property in Oaks North.
